In this class, I’ll show you how to create a stop animation puppet from scratch using easy to find materials. You’ll learn how to build a strong and flexible armature, choose materials to bulk out the body of the puppet, and how to dress your puppet. By the end of this class, you’ll have the skills to create a puppet ready to star in your next stop animation film!

As a beginner of animation, You will be able to understand how Animation can be made. You will learn Drawing a character using simple shape such as circle and rectangle. And you can give life to your character by rigging and parenting using simple puppet pin tool and Plugin Duik.

Hi, I’m Anne Beal, an animation artist, filmmaker, and installation designer. My work has been featured at international exhibitions including Annecy International Animation Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Brazil’s Festival of Electronic Language and dozens more. I taught animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for 3 years and am currently on the animation faculty at the School of the Visual Arts in NYC.
